In some cases antenna equipment needs to be placed in such a way as to minimize its presence. Shown here are a pair of antennas, a panel and a dish, that were painted black and mounted to a large ventilator grid a-top a large office tower. Tucked up close to the building and camouflaged, these antennas will blend nicely into the silhouette of the existing building, minimizing visual disturbance.
Chickasaw
Existing structures provide a great platform for wireless and this water tank illustrates the point nicely. Here, three 120° Radio Waves® antennas were used to broadcast and a Radio Waves® 5.8 GHz. dish antenna was used for backhaul.
Chickenhawks
Turkey vultures take advantage of various "perches" at this wireless micro-cell. This scene, while humorous, underscores the need for solid and secure installation of both antennas and cabling as interference comes in many forms…
Coopers
Elevator ceilings also work well in accommodating wireless equipment. Shown here are two Radio Waves® 4' dish-style antennas with radomes mounted on penetrating roof mounts. Air terminals compliment this scene and protect the valuable equipment shown.
PCS Hardware Cabinet
Illustrated here is one of PCS's custom 4' aluminum cabinets. Explosion-proof and very sturdy, this unit is perfect for elevator/mill sites where an explosion-proof cabinet is generally required. This enclosure has a 19" rack inside-large enough to accommodate a wide variety of site equipment. An E-Guard® AC unit controls the climate inside the cabinet and a separate unit, unseen, warms it.
Reedsburg
In 2000, PCS was asked to convert an out-of-service CATV tower into a viable wireless site. The three 120° Radio Waves® panels used and shown here created an effective wireless station with full coverage.
